New Mexico Higher Education, Special Schools, and Tribal Schools Bond

November 6, 2018 New Mexico General Election
Description:

A "yes" vote supports authorizing the sale and issuance of $136.230 million in bonds for institutions of higher education, special schools, and tribal schools.

A "no" vote opposes authorizing the sale and issuance of $136.230 million in bonds for institutions of higher education, special schools, and tribal schools.

The bond measure would issue no more than $136.230 million in general obligation bonds for institutions of higher education, special schools, and tribal schools. Projects would include infrastructure improvements, renovations, planning and construction of new buildings, repairs, and demolitions. A general obligation bond is a public debt and is paid for through state funds, specifically funds from a statewide property tax in New Mexico.
