Resolution No. 21-16

Shall the limitation on general ad valorem property taxes within the City of Rockford be increased by 2.5 mills which is equal to $2.50 per $1,000 on the taxable value of all real and personal property subject to taxation for the period 2022 through

2041, inclusive, for the purpose of authorizing the City to levy such millage to acquire, construct, install, operate and maintain public parks, greenways, trails and playgrounds?

2041, inclusive, for the purpose of authorizing the City to levy such millage to acquire, construct, install, operate and maintain public parks, greenways, trails and playgrounds? The amount raised in the first year of the levy is estimated at $666,109.

Tax increment revenues from this millage levy would be disbursed to the City’s Brownfield Redevelopment Authority and Downtown Development Authority.
